Jolanta Wróbel-Best is a correspondent for the literary news on the CKCU FM Radio at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. In the past, she taught philosophy at the University of Houston-Downtown. She holds a double PhD in Polish Language and Literature as well as Philosophy from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. Her PhD dissertation examined Polish modernism (Tadeusz Miciński) and Henri Bergson’s philosophy. Her interests incorporate a comprehensive approach to Polish studies, teaching Polish as a second language in the US, women’s studies, and translation. She authored "Mysteries of Time" ("Misteria czasu"), Kraków: Universitas, 1999 and 2012 (2nd edition).
